Safety Rules

Safety Rules & Equipment Acknowledgment

 

☐ Attend the safety briefing and comply with posted rules and staff instructions.

☐ Operate only approved aircraft/equipment; use required prop guards/frames.

☐ Fly only in designated zones/times; maintain line-of-sight/FPV compliance and use spotters as directed.

☐ Immediately land/power down upon staff instruction or unsafe conditions.

☐ Inspect equipment before use and report defects/incidents immediately.

☐ Wear required PPE (e.g., protective eyewear).

☐ General Liability & Participant Accident Insurance in place; Additional Insureds for venues.

☐ Incident Response Plan; First Aid kit; AED (if available); staff CPR/First Aid certifications.

☐ Safety Briefing Script; Preflight/Equipment Checklists; PPE requirements.

☐ Staff/Volunteer Training; Background checks; Youth protection policy.

☐ Concussion protocol; Return-to-Play policy; Injury/illness reporting.

☐ Facility diagram with safe zones, nets/cages, flight corridors, spectator areas.

☐ Signage: Rules, Waiver Notice, Emergency Exits, No-Entry areas.

☐ Data/privacy policy for registrations; Photo/Media opt-out tracking.

☐ Document retention schedule and secure record storage.

☐ State-specific compliance (minors’ waivers, arbitration, photo releases, UAS/venue rules).

Conduct

Participant & Parent/Guardian Code of Conduct

 

☐ Demonstrate sportsmanship, respect, and courtesy toward participants, officials, staff, and spectators.

☐ Follow all safety rules and staff instructions at all times.

☐ Refrain from abusive, discriminatory, or harassing language or behavior.

☐ Use equipment responsibly; no intentional damage or unsafe operation.

☐ Abide by facility policies, including restricted areas and PPE requirements.

☐ Accept disciplinary actions (warnings, suspensions, removal) for violations without refund.
